General terms and conditions
As you are signing up for a private lesson (in-person or online), a course (in-person or online) or a lecture (in-person or online) you are accepting the following terms and conditions:
Language: In these terms and conditions we use “lesson” to mean both private lessons (in-person or online), courses (in-person or online) and lectures (in-person or online).
Signing up and cancelling: Signing up to lessons is a binding commitment. The commitment becomes binding when you receive a booking confirmation from us. We send our booking confirmations via email.
To cancel you must send an email or a text to us. If you cancel within 24 hours of the lesson, or do not turn up (no-show), your payment will not be returned.
Temporary conditions during the COVID pandemic: We generally do not return payment to clients if they cancel their private lessons within 24 hours of the lesson. However, due to COVID pandemic, we have chosen to temporarily change these conditions. Clients who have COVID-19 symptoms can reschedule their private lesson to another date. Private lessons can then be rescheduled at any point up until the start time of the lesson. Clients are still charged for no-shows.
To cancel your place in a course, you must inform us at least 1 week before the course begins, otherwise your payment for the course will not be returned. The payment for the course is returned in full if you or your dog cannot attend due to medical reasons (veterinarian or medical certificate required).
For courses, we send out a welcome email about 1 week before the course begins with information about the exact location of the course and what you need to bring.
Cancelled lesson: If Vi Dog Training needs to cancel a lesson or a course due to illness or other circumstances, the lesson or course is rescheduled to another mutually agreed upon date. If we cannot find another mutually agreed upon date, you will receive your money back for the lesson or course.
We reserve the right to cancel a course if too few participants sign up. If this is the case, you will receive the fee for the course in its entirety.
Payment and non-payment: In most cases, payment must be made beforehand, before the lesson occurs. Courses need to be paid in their entirety before the course begins, otherwise you risk losing your place. We send our bills to clients via email. Please be aware that the bill may end up in your junk email folder. You are responsible for checking that you have received the bill.
If you have not paid in time, we will send a reminder via email and charge a reminder fee of 60 SEK. If the bill has not been paid after the first reminder, we reserve the right to charge interest on the unpaid amount according to Swedish law. We send two reminders before we transfer the unpaid invoice to a debt collection agency.
Right of withdrawal: As a private consumer in Sweden, you have 14 days right to withdraw your purchase, according to the “Lagen om distansavtal och avtal utanför affärslokaler”. The 14 day of withdrawal period begins the day after you have entered into an agreement with Vi Dog Training. The right of withdrawal no longer applies if you have agreed to participate in the Vi Dog Training lesson that you have purchased. Please note that the right of withdrawal is not applicable to events such as lectures and similar. The right of withdrawal does not apply to purchases under 400 SEK. If you want to exercise your right of withdrawal, we suggest that you send us an email at hello@vidogtraining.com
Education material: As a client of ours, you are not allowed to share any potential education material that you receive from us. You are of course allowed to share education materials with your family and the individuals who often take care of your dog and need to be involved in the training process.
Owner’s responsibility: You need to notify us if your dog has any serious behavior problems before you sign up for an in-person private lesson or course. If your dog shows aggression or severe fears during a course session we reserve the right to exclude you from the rest of the course. We reserve the right to not pay back the fee for the course.
The Swedish law “Tillsynslagen” (Lag 2007:1150 om tillsyn över hundar och katter) is also applicable during lessons with Vi Dog Training. If your dog would cause any injuries or accident when training with Vi Dog Training, it is the client’s insurance that applies. If it can be proven that Vi Dog Training has caused the injury or accident, then our insurance is applicable.
Vi Dog Training reserves the right to leave or expel a client during a lesson if Vi Dog Training assesses that the client is behaving in an inappropriate manner or is a risk factor for employees of Vi Dog Training and/or other clients.
Age: You need to be at least 18 years to be a client of ours. If a minor wants to participate at a lesson we require that a responsible adult participates as well. At courses in person, maximum 2 persons per dog are allowed to participate.
Vaccinations: When taking classes in-person, such as a course or a private lesson, your dog needs to be vaccinated according to the standards of the Swedish Kennel Club. We also encourage you to vaccinate your dog against kennel cough, which is done yearly. Your dog needs to be free from scabies and similar.
Privacy Policy: As you are signing up for a lesson with us you simultaneously accept our privacy policy according to GDPR. You can find it here.
Altering of the general terms and conditions: Vi Dog Training reserves the right to make changes in our prices and conditions without informing you as a client first. You need to make sure that you are aware of which prices and conditions are applicable. The prices and conditions that apply are the ones described here on our website.
Submit a claim: Clients can under certain circumstances submit a claim for faulty service (“reklamation” in Swedish) about Vi Dog Training lessons that they have participated in. If clients want to submit a claim, they have to inform Vi Dog Training within a reasonable amount of time after the client has noticed the faulty service.
Dispute: If a dispute would occur between a client and Vi Dog Training regarding these terms and conditions, the dispute should try to be solved between Vi Dog Training and the client in question. If an agreement can not be reached, the client can report Vi Dog Training to Allmänna Reklamationsnämnden (The National Board for Consumer Disputes). Both Vi Dog Training and the client have the right to demand that the dispute is taken to court.
Please note that in cases of dispute over these terms and conditions, the Swedish version has preference.
