Mia’s Dogs
Eskil
I share my life with my partner Matthew and our fantastic rescue Eskil. We found Eskil at a dog shelter in France in the fall of 2019 and we fell in love with him right away! Eskil was 6 years old at the time.
Eskil is half German Shepherd and half Border Collie. You can really tell that he is a mix of these two breeds - both in his behavior and in his looks.
Eskil has unfortunately been through several traumas and we are his third family. He is, among other things, afraid of being handled, other dogs and he suffers from separation anxiety.
Eskil is an incredibly joyous dog with lots of humor. He has a lot of guarding instinct and is very loyal to his humans.
Some of Eskil’s favorite activities include doing parkour, clicker training and taking long walks in “his” forest.
Stella means“star”
Stella
I would also like to count my parents’ Labrador Stella as being partially my dog. Stella is a rescue from Ireland and came to Sweden via the organization Hundar utan Hem when she was 5 years old. I found Stella on their website and my parents became as interested in her as I when I showed them her ad!
Stella had a difficult start of her life. She was chained up outside for most of her life in Ireland. Due to this, she developed traumas related to the weather, darkness and sounds.
Stella accompanied me during the dog trainer certification course. We had so much fun together during the course and got to know each other in a completely new way.
Stella is very sociable, loving and she is a very talented communicator - both with other dogs and with humans.
